Some of you might even think this is strange but the truth is that all humans respond best to positive reinforcement or discipline rather then negative discipline which is often called punishment. So try this out and be sure to only reward the specific behavior you are after. With consistent effort on your part to quickly praise the child and give them the treat after they have produced the desired behavior will produce a change.
